
About the coach
Kandi Kessler Comer has been mentoring players of all skill levels for more than 25 years by providing them with a firm knowledge of the game’s basic fundamentals aided by industry-leading teaching technology. Kandi has been recognized as a top instructor by Golf Digest and is a US Kids Top 50 Master Junior Instructor. In 2020, she was inducted into the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame for her playing and teaching excellence. Kandi was named the Mid-Atlantic PGA Southern Chapter Teacher of the Year in 2023.
Kandi was the instructor of LPGA Tour star Dottie Pepper—winner of 17 tour events including two majors—and coached several other professional golfers as they successfully earned their tour credentials.
Kandi Kessler Comer was a fine player herself. She represented the United States in the 1986 Curtis Cup Matches, competed in five U.S. Women’s Open Championships—finishing 14th in 1987, won five Virginia State championships, made it to the quarter finals of the 1985 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, claimed several collegiate trophies, and won two professional tournaments. In 1985, Kandi was recognized as one of the top 10 amateur women golfers in United States by Golf Digest. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel, she was named one of the Top 50 female golfers in ACC history.
